Helping Those In Need
Households that spend more than 10% of their income paying their utility bills are in a constant state of “energy poverty”. Believe it or not, this is true for about 20% of residents in Ontario and can mean the inability to afford to adequately heat one’s home. For the HOME ASSISTANCE Program and Enbridge Winterization Program GreenSaver works with the provincial network of social services, agencies and affordable housing options to ensure nobody gets left out in the cold or the dark.
If you are a social housing provider interested in applying, or a social agency who would like information for your clients, please contact:

Social Agencies
We work with social agencies to promote free energy saving programs to homeowners and renters faced with costly utility bills.
Support Homes
We work with shelters, addiction recovery homes, support homes for the disabled, and emergency housing so that their money can go towards helping their clients rather than paying the utility bills.
Non-profit Housing
We work with non profit housing organizations to ensure that their energy bills are affordable for all tenants.
Co-op Housing
We work with co-operative housing to ensure that their energy bills are affordable for all members.
