Leadership Team

Vladan Veljovic

President and CEO

Vladan Veljovic is the President and CEO of GreenSaver. Since he took the helm in 2006, Vladan has transformed GreenSaver from a small Toronto-based energy audit nonprofit organization into one of the main delivery agents of Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) programs for the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and local distribution companies (LDCs) throughout the province of Ontario.

He previously served as President and CEO of Spaans Babcock, a multinational supplier of equipment for municipal utilities, and before that as Vice President of Business Development for Enwave Energy Corporation, a district energy systems company. Vladan has over 30 years of effective corporate and organizational leadership in diverse industries and market segments, with a particular focus on the energy industry. He has extensive knowledge of the Ontario energy market and established industry and community credibility.

Vladan holds both an MBA and an Engineering degree. He is a current and past Board Director with a track record of dealing with complex stakeholder relationships and has extensive international business experience.

Maija Nappi | CPA, CGA

Vice President – Finance and Administration

Maija Nappi is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Corporate Information Technology and Administration for GreenSaver. She has over 30 years of experience from various business sectors, such as retail, not-for-profit, health services, SAP consulting business, printing and publishing, imaging and advertising.

Previously Maija was Chief Financial Officer for a national retail corporation. She has served as a board member and a Treasurer for the Finnish Canadian Seniors Center for five years, and for the Finnish Credit Union (Toronto) for six years. Maija is a Certified General Accountant / Chartered Professional Accountant, and has a Certificate of Accounting from Ryerson University, as well as a certificate from Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPAO).

Henry Bernal

Vice President, Programs & Customer Service

Henry Bernel orchestrates GreenSaver’s efforts to ensure the efficient delivery of conservation programs and is the primary contact for our utility partners. Henry also leads the architecture behind our services and provides oversight to all customer interaction. Based on his consulting experience in Finance and Strategy, over the last seven years, he has earned recognition in the sustainability sector where he has played an important role working with utilities across Canada and deploying residential programs. Before joining GreenSaver his focus was on the retail sector where he managed the sustainability portfolio for two of the most important players.

Pim Rom-Colthoff

Director, Information Technology

Pim Rom-Colthoff leads Greensaver’s IT infrastructure and software development teams.  Prior to joining GreenSaver, Pim has worked extensively in the not-for-profit sector with both CAA Central Ontario and Mount Pleasant Group, as well as with the government sector with Ontario Place Corporation.

Along with his expertise in IT management, Pim is a Certified Management Accountant/Chartered Professional Accountant and recently achieved certification in Cyber Security from York University.

David Léger

Director, Business Development

David is tasked with leading greensaver’s business development efforts, including marketing and sourcing of new opportunities to help advance the greensaver mission of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping Canadians become more energy efficient. He spent over 8 years at epsilon where he began his career as an Account Executive and he later became epsilon’s Senior Director of Sales, Marketing & Operations, leading 4 distinct, but highly cohesive teams: Business Development, Client Support, Product Development & Marketing Operations.

Bill Handziuk

Director, Service Delivery

Bill leads a dedicated team of conservation and logistics experts responsible for the effective delivery of energy saving services to thousands of households annually. Before joining GreenSaver, Bill worked for over a decade with Enbridge Gas Distribution in Marketing Communication and Program Development roles.
Bill is an enterprising leader who creates win-win teams that deliver results for our customers. Prior to joining the energy sector Bill gained broad business experience with Nestle and Clorox in Marketing and Sales roles in both B2B and B2C environments.
